Hello World…
Welcome to Life With Kami; the experiences and happenings of my life, my beliefs, my ups and downs, and hopefully my humor. I’ve learned a couple things these past few years is that no one is perfect, no perfect life or perfect marriage or the perfect family. On the flip side of all that imperfection is that we’re never alone, someone is in that same boat as you and they can either help you or choose to observe from afar and judge you!
Backstory
So a little about me in case you’re new here and you happen upon this as the first post you read. My name is Kami, I am a practicing Hindu with Indian heritage originally from Guyana, South America. Currently, living in the Midwest, married with 3 kids, and very family oriented. You can read more on my About Me page. Ever since I can remember I’ve worked and not out of necessity but loved the challenge of learning and trying new things and as a teenager. The $ was a huge plus but I digress. In 2011, after my second child, the stress of family and work became too much for me. I went through a rough year of illness that took a toll on me both physically and mentally. Something had to give or change. I made the decision to quit my job and start up my company.
Purpose
Today, the hardship of being a mom, wife, running a business, taking care of my parents and still maintaining who I am as a person and not losing my individuality has become a struggle. My motivation for starting this blog is just that. A way for me to be out there, to chronicle my life and all that comes with it. If you’re here out of support for me or just because you happen to stumble upon this blog I hope that you find a kindred spirit or that one of my posts makes your day even slightly brighter or better yet put a smile on your face because that at the end of the day will be it’s purpose and mine.
Updated Post: This post originally appeared on my first blog Faithfully Me, which I have reinvented into Life with Kami.
I’d love to hear your thoughts below. Don’t forget to leave a comment or feel free to share with your friends or anyone else wishing to support this girl. Until next time… Ciao!
[…] two months now that I’ve started this new blog, and as I’ve mentioned in my first post here why I decided to do yet another project when I’ve already got so much on my plate. […]
