Additional Disclosure: I was given a 2-night stay and gift certificate for my review of the Sheraton Bloomington & Lela’s Restaurant. All opinions are my own.
Sheraton Bloomington Hotel
This past weekend, Mike and I enjoyed a mini staycation at the Sheraton Bloomington Hotel. It was just enough for us to get away and regroup from our daily stress, work, and the upcoming holiday excitement. The Sheraton Hotel Bloomington, Minnesota is located 15 minutes away from MSP airport, 11 minutes away from Mall of America, and has a 4.5 stars rating on TripAdvisor with plenty of happy customer reviews. The hotel recently completed a 15 million dollar renovation this summer, so you get to enjoy all the benefits of downtown Minneapolis without all the hassle.

**A little FYI regarding the video and pics I took above. If you live in MN or visit during November, you know it gets dark around 5 pm. This particular weekend was dark, cloudy, and shooting with my phone in these lighting conditions didn’t give the hotel or our fabulous room the justice it deserved.
We arrived at the Sheraton Bloomington hotel around 5ish, immediately being greeted with friendly service from the front desk, we got our keys and headed up to our room. I was truly blown away once we stepped inside our suite. It was huge, we stayed in a 1000 square ft suite that felt bigger than our first apartment. There’s a separate sitting room area with its own LCD flat screen tv and a round dining table with 4 chairs. everything was clean, the layout of the suite is very family friendly with tons of amenities as you can see in my video above. Our bed was warm and comfy, and there was a full bathroom with a jetted tub and shower as well as a separate half bath for added privacy. Plenty of towels and toiletries. There’s no pool but they have a fitness center and the Sheraton Club lounge.
Things I Enjoyed at the Sheraton Bloomington
- Spacious room
- Lots of closet and storage space
- Jetted tub
- In-room amenities: Starbucks coffee, robe, flat screen tv, charging station etc.
- Wifi (excellent connection too no matter where we went in the hotel)
- The food at Lela’s (If you saw my Instagram stories then you know I’m not making this up lol)
Lela’s Restaurant
Hubby and I enjoyed several meals at Lela’s during our stay. Executive Chef Stewart Woodman, two time James Beard semifinalist for Best Chef in the Midwest, helms Lela Restaurant. You’ll find a little bit of everything on Lela’s menu and my hubby is still raving about the ‘best steak’ he’s ever had. Check them out and let me know what you think.
